Raymond Lee Williams, Sr, 95, of Dolphin, Va. joined his family in Heaven on November 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Thacker Williams; two grandsons, Davy Williams and Eric Williams; his parents; Leslie R. Williams and Pearl Ball Williams; a sister, Frances Bolanowski and brothers, Roger, Charles, and Jimmy Williams. He is survived by his Children, Raymond “Ray” Williams, Jr., Susan Williams (Rickey), Doris Robinette (Eddie) and Diane Bruce (Robert); 7 grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Maria Amos, Tonya Spence, Tiffany Spence, Robert Bruce, Jr., Anthony Bruce and Jonathan Bruce; 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Daisy Birdsong (Herman) Bernice Bonnovitch, Shirley Cunningham (Gerry), Lucy Lewis and Margaret Sheffield; brothers, Clifton Williams and Randy Williams; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Raymond spent his entire life in Brunswick County. He honorably served our country in the US Marine Corps. He worked for many years for Bernard Hawthorne Logging and Sawmill. He enjoyed puzzles, craftwork, making airplane weather vane’s, welding and gardening. He never said a bad word about anyone. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and the love he had for his family. He was a member and former deacon of Warfield Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge on Monday, November 18, 2024 form 10:30 A.M until Noon. Graveside services to follow at 1PM at Crestview Memorial Park, 18599 US-1, in LaCrosse, Va. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Warfield Baptist Church, 7318 Flat Rock Road, Warfield, Va 23889
