Maury Mckinley Baughan

Maury McKinley “Pete” Baughan, 86, of Victoria, VA joined his family in Heaven on September 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Daniel Baughan; his parents, Roger McKinley Baughan and Estelle Driggs Baughan; and a great-grandson, Kannon Bentley Paul. 

He is survived by his children, Eva Baughan of Chase City, Roger Baughan (Melissa) of Gloucester, and Glenn Baughan of Rawlings; his grandchildren, McKinley Baughan, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Baughan, Jessica Baughan, Amelia Card and Hunter Evans; great-grandchildren, Nathan Herzig and Elijah Herzig; his sister, Eva Clevinger of Victoria; and his brother James Baughan of Blackstone. Pete retired from B.P. Short and Son Paving Company as a dump truck driver after 40 years of service. He took pride in his dump truck and his automobiles they were always clen inside and out. He loved all children and animals, especially his dog Mocha. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 6 to 7:30 at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, September 11, 2023 at Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria.
