Julia Ann (Cannon) Snead claimed the promise of resurrection on July 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Marshall Snead Jr.; her daughter Debra Gee; her brothers Clyde and Morris Cannon; and her sister Margaret Dilio. She is survived by her sister Patsy Carter; her son Wayne Snead (Beth); her daughter Susan Hawks (John); her grandchildren Walter Frank Gee II (Alyssa); John Robert Gee (Bonnie); Rebekah Beacher (Andy); J.M. Snead; Ryan Snead (Sarah). Her great grandchildren are Conner Gee; Jannis Snead, Luke and Sarah Beacher; Brooklyn and Rosie Snead; and many nieces and nephews.
She loved people and especially music and dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She owned Style Milady Beauty Shop. She could always be seen on her riding lawnmower while cutting grass and making sure her yard was kept up and looking nice. She was a faithful member of Victoria United Methodist Church for many years.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at Staples Funeral Home (2300 Nottoway Boulevard) in Victoria, Virginia. The funeral service will be held on Friday July 21st at Victoria United Methodist Church (1906 Lee Avenue) at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will be held immediately following the service at Lake View Cemetery.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Lunenburg Health Services, Inc (P.O. Box 121, Victoria, Virginia 23974) or the Victoria Fire and Rescue Squad (P.O. Box 1419, Victoria, Virginia).
Everyone is invited to a reception at Victoria United Methodist Church following the graveside service.
