James Calvin Keller

James Calvin Keller, 56, of Crewe, VA went home to be with the Lord and his family in Heaven on September 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter L. Keller, Jr. and Julia Morris; a brother, Oscar M. Keller; and his beloved dog, WeeWee. He is survived by his babe of 35 years, Marian J. Abernathy of Crewe; his daughters, Patricia Abernathy, Brandy Abernathy (Steve), Jennifer Abernathy and Jenny Abernathy (Chris) all of Lunenburg; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Bednarz (Billy) of Kenly, NC; brothers, Walter Keller (Kim) of Aiken, SC and Robert Keller (Jackie) of Elm City, NC; devoted friend, Judy Lloyd of Burkeville. James attended Central High School and was a painting contractor for many years. He was devoted to his family, his profession and the Dallas Cowboys. He will always be remembered for leaving a legacy of love and strength to all that knew him. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6 to 7:30pm at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria, where funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11AM.
