Grady Lee Phillips

Grady Lee Phillips, 64, of Victoria, VA joined his family in Heaven on October 22, 2024. He was the father of the late Zachary Phillips. He was the son of the late Clyde B. Phillips and Peggy G. Walker and brother of the late Duke Phillips and Kathy Gardner. He is survived by his wife of 14 years Shirley B. Phillips; his sons, Justin Phillips of Blackstone and Ryan Phillips of Farmville and many friends. Grady graduated from Nottoway High School and served our country in the US. Navy. He started his career as an officer with the Nottoway Correctional Center and, throughout his 30 years with the state, he worked at numerous institutions. At the time of his passing, he was a lieutenant with Baskerville Correctional Center. Grady enjoyed watching and keeping up with the Washington Commanders and the Washington Nationals. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his family. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 5:00 to 6:30PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria, Va.
