Garry Frederick Sherwood

Garry Frederick Sherwood, 78, of Victoria, Va. went to be with the Lord and his wife, Kathleen Marie Sherwood, on February 26, 2024. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Sherwood (Brenda), Marcus Sherwood and Jerry Sherwood (Amber); three daughters, Teri-Ann Whisner, Martha Sherwood-Manning (Joel) and Suzi Sherwood; 14 grandchildren, Deserae Sherwood, Katelyn Sherwood, Clifford Sherwood, Paul Sherwood, Sapphire Lamb (Cody), Jonathan Sherwood, Peter Sherwood, Shyanne Whisner, Zackary Whisner (Yui Claire), Sydney Sherwood, Jarrett Compton, Connor Compton, Vivian Compton and Lillian Whisner; three great-grandchildren, Kamila Holliday, Noah Mayton and Jamir Holliday;  Garry was a retired carpenter for Miller and Long in Northern Virginia. His last job was working on the Carolina Panther’s stadium where he broke his back and has been confined to a wheel chair and his scooter ever since. He loved to study his bible, and enjoyed taking rides up town on his scooter. He was always eager to share the gospel with you.  He was a man of many talents from quilting, creating musical instruments to woodworking. He was devoted to his family and his Lord. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
