Franklin Odell Ashworth

Franklin Odell “Frankie” “Bones” Ashworth, 76, of Victoria, VA went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2024. He was the son of the late Everett Franklin Ashworth and Odell Amos Hagaman and brother of the late Daphne Ashworth Averett. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Arthur Ashworth; his daughter Kim Marshall (Duane) of North Carolina; his sons, Todd Ashworth (Sherry) of Blackstone and Paul Ashworth of Victoria; step- children, Jimmy Ray Dalton (Julie) of Kenbridge, Tony Dalton (Christy) of Victoria and Diane Barksdale (Tony) of Keysville; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ray Ashworth (Peggy) of Victoria; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Frankie/Bones graduated from Central High School and spent 23 months in Okinawa serving our country in the US Army. His 41 year Railroad career began with Norfolk and Western and he retired as a clerk for Norfolk and Southern. He was a founding member of Arrowhead Gun Club, a lifelong member of VFW Post 9954 and a member of Sugar Shack Hunt Club. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing but most recently he enjoyed keeping a clean yard. He dearly loved hanging out with family and friends. He never missed the opportunity to help others. Not to worry – He Voted Early. Per his request there will be no services, however, please feel free to visit the family at any time.
