Frances Dunnavant Sheffield

Frances Dunnavant Sheffield, 98, of Victoria, VA died December 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Clifford Sheffield, Sr; her parents, Fannie and Bernard Dunnavant and her brothers, Shirley and Reginald Dunnavant. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Sheffield and Ralph C. “Cliff” Sheffield, Jr. (Betsy); grandchildren, Anna Leavitt (Ray), Ford Sheffield (Melissa) and Katherine DiPaolo (Hunter); great-grandchildren, Logan Belcher, Cole Belcher, Reed Sheffield, Avery Leavitt, Evelyn Harper Leavitt, Adelina DiPaolo and Nico DiPaolo. Mrs. Sheffield grew up in Victoria, graduated from Victoria High School, and received her RN Degree from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Richmond. She worked for over twenty years for Dr. Lewis W. Bridgforth in Victoria. She enjoyed reading, listening to Frank Sinatra, discussing politics and spending time with her family. She was a member of Victoria Christian Church. The family will receive friends Friday, December 20, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria where funeral services will be had 11AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 with interment to follow at the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.
