Elaine Callis Pearce

Elaine Callis Pearce, 76, of Kenbridge, VA joined her family in Heaven on September 24, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Richard Elroy Callis and Sarah Moore Callis; and sister of the late William Jerry Callis and Kenneth Dwight Callis. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charlie A. Pearce; her son, Tony Pearce (Kay) of Urbanna; daughters, Ginger Ferguson (Jeff Burruss) of Blackstone and Amy Jackson of Petersburg; grandchildren, Meghan Pearce, Stevie Williams, DJ Kizzie (Kristen) Chad Pearce, Morgan Petrich (Seth), Madison Haislip (Travis), Corey Pearce (Jacqueline) and Amaya Jackson; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Carter, Asher, Lainey, Emi, Raleigh and Landon; twin sister, Arlene Wengert (Tom) of Victoria and brother, Earl Callis (Barbara) of Kenbridge. Elaine attended Kenbridge High School and went on to become a loving wife and mother. She started her career as an administrative professional, became co-owner of Tinkling Bells, and retired as an administrative assistant for the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Department in 2010. Elaine was raised and baptized at Antioch United Methodist Church and later became a member of Kenbridge United Methodist Church. She learned to play the piano at a young age and shared her talent with churches, schools and weddings. She was a Cub Scout Den mother, PTA member, bible school teacher, and a member of the bridge club. Elaine was a sweet soul who was happiest bringing joy to others. She spent most of her life giving, baking, and cooking for those in need of her love. She enjoyed putting puzzles together with her sister, playing cards and a good cup of coffee. She will always be remembered for the love and joy she brought to the world. The family will receive friends at all times at the home. Graveside funeral services will be held 11AM, Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Antioch Community Church Cemetery, 3489 South Hill Road, Kenbridge, VA. 23944.
