Edward Lee Powell, 82 of Dundas, Virginia and formerly of Blackstone, Virginia. Died on November 4, 2024 from several health complications in Lawrenceville Health & Rehabilitation home in Virginia. He was the husband of the late Rose Marie Jones Powell of 45 years and the late Martha Ann Mayton Powell of 14 years. Edward was born November 14, 1941 to the late Adolphus Lee Powell and Doris Mills Powell. He is survived by 4 children and 13 grandchildren, his daughter, Victoria Louise Powell Marks of Eureka, Montana, and her children, Chase Edward Marks, Trey Allen Marks, Chadd Lee Marks (Jessica); his sons, Adolphus Edward Powell “Eddie” of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and son, Dustin Roy Humble; Melvin Troy Powell (Tamara) of Shipshewana, Indiana, and their children, Kayleigh Powell, Kenneth Powell, Brandon Palmer, Amanzis Palmer, Deceased son on 4/8/93 Preston Dwayne Powell; Shane Lee Powell (Jennifer) of Chino Valley, AZ and their children, Morgan Powell, Tristan Powell, Wayne Powell, Toma Fitzgerald, Lucas Fitzgerald; also surviving are his sisters, Helen Styron (Neil) of Bracey Virginia and Diane Berry (Benny) of Dundas, Virginia; many nieces and nephews. Edward grew up in Brunswick county and was a retired truck driver in Indiana. He loved traveling and riding the roads to visit family and friends. His passion was fishing and socializing. He was always there to help people and fix things. Memorial services will be held on November 13, 2024 at 7pm at the Clarke Funeral Home, 110 E Fifth Avenue Kenbridge, Virginia 23944.
