Edna Bishop Jones

Edna Bishop Jones, 91, of Kenbridge, VA joined her family in Heaven on February 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Watkins Green Jones and her children, Lynn Douglas Jones, Juanita J. Robbins and Ronald Mason Jones. Edna grew up in Lunenburg County, one of 12 children born to the late Thomas Eldridge Bishop and Mary Gibson Bishop. She is survived by her grandchildren, Patrick Robbins (Meredith), Taylor Robbins, Samantha Hite (JD) and Lauren Vasquez (Henry); five great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Marty Robbins; and a brother, Tom Bishop (Imogene). Edna graduated from Kenbridge High School in 1950. She retired from Central Fidelity Bank as a teller in 1992. She volunteered at the Community Memorial Healthcenter in South Hill for 23 years. She loved to read, crochet, and dance. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family, her church and her community. The family will receive friends Monday, February 5, 2024 from 6:30 to 8PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge. She was a devoted member of Perseverance Christian Church, Dundas, VA, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, at 11am.
