Claude Ball, Jr.

Claude “June Bug” Ball, Jr. 87, of Victoria, VA, joined his family in Heaven on January 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Marie Ball, a grandson, Timothy Spears; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Marie Marker and his parents, Claude and Ona Harris Ball. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Ruth Taylor “Sissy” Ball; his daughters, Peggy Thornton (Mike), Jennifer Ball, Linda Ball (Russell Clark); his son, Mark Ball (Barbie Jo) all of Victoria; 7 grandchildren, Billy, Penny, Michael, Amber, Melissa, Sandy, Kathleen “Kat”, and Kenny; 15 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Frank, Robert, Terry, Lee and their wives; his sisters, Shirleen and Fonnie and their husbands; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Claude grew up in Grundy, VA. He was a retired plumber. He enjoyed repairing and installing CB Radios, cattle farming and coon hunting. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his family. The family will receive friends Friday, January 5, 2024 from 6:30 to 8PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11AM in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.
