Carolyn Hancock Moore, 91, of Dundas, VA went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell F. “Maxie” Moore; her parents, Aubrey Daniel Hancock and Mary Etta Oakley Hancock; her brother, Vincent Daniel Hancock and a daughter-in-law, Letrecia “TC” Moore. She is survived by her sons, David Moore of Deltaville/Dundas and Danny Moore (Edna) of Dundas, She was “Granny” to grandchildren, Jay Moore (Joanna), Ashley Bader (Bishop), Justin Moore, Amanda Moore (Nick Whisenhunt) Suzie Ammons (Randy), Shannon Zava (Lewis) and great-grandchildren, Errett Moore, Andi Moore, McGuire Moore, Adrianna Moore, Harper Zava, Olivia Whisenhunt and Mary Ann Ammons. Carolyn was the owner of Seven Springs Farm, Inc. She enjoyed being active in the church, quilting, sewing, canning, cooking and working on the farm. She will always be remembered for her kind smile and the love she had for others. She served on the Farm Bureau Women’s Committee for many years. She was a devoted member of Perseverance Christian Church, 3027 Gigg Road, Dundas, VA 23938, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years, was a former deacon, a former church clerk and where funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11am. Interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 9, 2024 from 6:30 to 8PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge.
