Anne Fitzgerald Yeager, age 89 passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Cary, North Carolina. She was born to Florence and George Lee Edwards in Bluefield, West Virginia. Anne graduated from Beaver High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Salem College in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She taught Mathematics in the Pinellas County (Florida) School System where her family had retired while she was in college. She then attended the College of William and Mary where she earned a Master's Degree in Counseling. After serving as a Counselor for the Pinellas County School System, she then went into Real Estate and become a Broker Salesman for Prudential Florida Realty. While living in St. Petersburg, Florida, she was active in the St. Petersburg Little Theatre on stage and as a member of the Board of Directors. Upon moving to the Clearwater-Largo Area in Florida, she was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she served on the Board and on the Board of the Lutheran Clinical Counseling Center. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret Love; her first husband, Morgan E. Fitzgerald; and her second husband, Dr. Gresham L. Yeager. She is survived by her two nephews; George Bruce Love and his fiance Janie Singletary and Michael Edwards Love and his wife Susan; great-nephews; Chris Love and Carter Love; and cousins L.D. and Cristy Harry. Anne knew no strangers. She always had a ready smile and pleasantries to exchange, and was a friend to all. By her own proclamation, Anne declared herself feisty ... and this feisty lady will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Private Burial will be held in Virginia, where she will join her precious Gresham, her sister, and her parents. A Celebration of Anne's Life will be held in the Glenaire Retirement Community of Cary, North Carolina at a later date.
